The 14th Amendment to the Constitution stipulates all persons born within our border the right to citizenship; the 5th Amendment guarantees all persons, citizens or not, the right to proper due process.

It should concern everyone of the painful school of thought currently plaguing a particular sect of the nation that views American Citizenship as an object to be obscured and hoarded among a select few rather than enjoyed by all free men. While it may shock no-one that this thinking has occured, it is concerning to me that there is a portion of the population that, in defiance of law and every legal precedent of this Republic, asserts that the fruits of liberty, particularly that of proper due process of law, ought to be denied to those not marked with the honor of citizenship in this Republic.
It should naturally be of even more concern that this very same group has voiced their support for an effort to end birthright citizenship - a legally enshrined right in the Constitution and longheld precedent before the events of Dred Scott. It is unnerving to me that some would like to reduce American Citizenship to an inheritable or purchasable trait withheld from the many for the benefit of the few, and to place any noncitizens into a state of a subordinate underclass for whom the right of justice and equality under the law, the right of privacy and security in their homes, may not be afforded to.
Our Republic is founded on the principle that All Men Are Created Equal, and that In This Republic the Law is King, paramount above the petty squabbles of men. The wording of the Constitution, the Supreme Law, is plainly clear on this matter. Both the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments present that No Person may be denied due process in law, not Citizen. The right to fair and equally ajudicated justice is not a privilege reserved for the Citizens, but a natural right that shall not be denied to any man, regardless of creed, especially in a Free Republic of Laws. The Fourteenth Amendment is also clear and confident in its purpose, explicitly to protect birthright citizenship. The citizenship of our fathers and founders, who, while not native to this land, lived under its law and jurisdiction and framed its beginnings.
To reduce the soul of free men to that base level of subservience, to deny him his rights which are owed to him naturally, and to hoarde it and sell it is a graver insult. Natural rights are not privileges to be extended to a select few, but are endowed to every man by their Creator. No man may be denied these.
